Blue Point Brewing Company

Blue Point Brewing Company, located at 225 West Main Street in Patchogue, prides itself on caring only about brewing good craft beer. While the brewery itself may seem a little rough around the edges, it does offer one-of-a-kind local brews including Prop Stopper Seaweed IPA, Beach Plum Gose, Citrus Plunge IPA, and Toasted Lager. It also has a tasting room where you can try out some of the beers that it sells before you decide what ones you would like to buy. SquareHead Brewing Company

SquareHead Brewing Company is located at 405 High Street, #1 in Holbrook and is well-known for its active presence on social networking sites like Twitter. It also is popular with fans of craft beer because of its eclectic and interesting beer varieties. Some of the choices available to patrons include Talking Stranger, Juicy Connection, Three Dollar Bill, and You Were Never Here. SquareHead Brewing Company is open during select hours on Friday through Sunday. It remains closed during the remainder of the week.

1940s Brewing Company

Located at 1337 Lincoln Avenue, #1 in Holbrook, 1940s Brewing Company offers lively entertainment for guests throughout the week. Enjoy Trivia Night on Wednesdays or live music on Fridays. Guests at 1940s Brewing Company can also choose from a plethora of locally crafted beers. The names of these beers range from Bohemia Blonde, which is made with pale malt, white wheat, and flaked oats, to Brunch Porter, which offers hints of chocolate, cherry, and coffee. Along with its selection of crafted beers, the brewery also offers a limited menu for breakfast and lunch.

Great South Bay Brewery and Tasting Room

Found at 25 Drexel Drive in Bay Shore, Great South Brewery and Tasting Room prides itself on its year-round and seasonal local craft beers. Its tasting room is open six days a week, closing only on Tuesdays. It is available for private parties but is otherwise open for people who want to sample some of the brewery’s selections of award winning local beers. Some of the beers on tap include Blonde Ambition, Blood Orange, Jetty Ale, Massive IPA, and Robert Moses. In addition to offering a wide array of craft beers, the brewery also welcomes local food trucks to come and serve hungry customers. Guests can also take part in the numerous games played during the week at Great South Bay Brewery and Tasting Room.

Port Jeff Brewing Company

Port Jeff Brewing Company, found at 22 Mill Creek Road in Port Jefferson, opened to the public in October 2011. It takes pride in its seven-barrel brewing system that is capable of making 217 gallons or 86 cases of beer with each brew. Along with brewing beer for its own brewery, Port Jeff Brewing Company also makes beer that is shipped and sold at restaurants throughout New York. It also offers tours of its brewery facilities every Saturday afternoon starting at 4:00. Some of the beers that are made at Port Jeff Brewing Company include Party Boat India pale ale, Beach Beer ale, Porter, Schooner pale ale, and Trippel H Belgian style ale. Special release brews include Orange Dream, Shiznit IPA, Life Preserver lager, and Overboard Russian Imperial stout.

Spider Bite Beer Company

Spider Bite Beer Company is located at 920 Lincoln Avenue in Holbrook. It was founded in 2008 by Larry Goldstein, who initially studied in Atlanta to become a chiropractor. However, he gave into his passion for beer brewing and came back to Long Island to open his own brewery. The unusual name of his brewery references the numerous spider bites one of his friends received one summer shortly before the company opened. While the name of the company might be quirky, the variety of beers is designed to please a range of palates. Some of the beers that customers can enjoy when they visit Spider Bite Beer Company include 12 Legs Imperial IPA, Boris the Spider, Queen Melba, and the Collaborator. Spider Bite Beer Company also hosts numerous events for the community. The most popular happenings at the business include the hosting of local food trucks as well as live music shows.

Moustache Brewing Company

Located at 400 Hallett Avenue in Riverhead, Moustache Brewing Company was founded in 2012. The husband and wife team of Matthew and Lauri Spitz began the business as a one-barrel operation. By 2016, the business had grown to a seven-barrel brew house, making beers that continue to be sold around the Westchester and Hudson Valley areas. Some of the more popular craft beers available here include Everyman’s Porter, Itty Bitty World, and Awkward Conversations. Guests can also shop for Moustache Brewing Company wares like tee shirts, beer glasses, and pins on the business’s website.
