The Winter Room at The Roof is a pop-up winter-themed bar hosted by The Roof Lounge every year. Located at 124 West 57th Street, the Winter Room is an enclosed, heated rooftop lounge outfitted with warm, fuzzy blankets and comfy pillows for guests’ use and enjoyment.
It serves up a veritable holiday-themed menu that includes the Rooftop Toddy, made with spiced rum, hot apple cider, and a cinnamon stick, as well as bubble waffles that come complete with caramelized bananas, walnuts, and butter. The Winter Room also offers a perfect view of Central Park.
Rolf’s is a German restaurant that goes all out with its Christmas decorations each year. Found at 281 Third Avenue, Rolf’s bedecks the premises with Christmas lights, baubles, garland, and much more. The decorations are almost as famous as its seasonal menu offerings of mulled wine and spiked eggnog. Rolf’s is open from 10:00 a.m. to midnight seven days a week.

The Holiday Cocktail Lounge is located at 75 Saint Marks Place and is dubbed as the meeting place of poets and intellectuals. Along with celebrating the holiday season, the Holiday Cocktail Lounge also marks occasions like Frank Sinatra’s birthday with an event called Sinatracon.
The menu at Holiday Cocktail Lounge includes rich offerings like a bruleed donut and red velvet cake. It also offers a host of drinks including local draft beers, Long Island ice tea, and more.
Paddy Maguire’s Ale House at 237 Third Avenue has been described as an explosion of Christmas decorations and music. Patrons delight in the sprawling strands of garland, lights, and baubles that are hung both inside and outside of the bar.
During the holiday season, the ale house’s jukebox also blares out favorite Christmas tunes that give the place a dance party “feel” to it. Paddy Maguire’s hosts a happy hour everyday from 11:00 in the morning until 7:00 at night.
Midnight Summer’s Dream at PHD Terrace at Dream Midtown, located at 210 West 55th Street, is another seasonal pop-up Christmas-themed bar that caters to the public during the holiday season. It is an enclosed rooftop bar on the top of PHD Terrace at Dream Midtown.
Its decorations make the place look like a romantic winter garden complete with a ceiling-to-floor swing, tunnels made of twinkling lights, and mistletoe hanging from the bar. It also offers seasonal drinks including its famous S’mores Tini which consists of creme de cacao, graham cracker crumbs, and roasted marshmallows.
The Late Late at 159 East Houston Street is another bar famous for its annual Christmas decorations. The bar decks itself out in what patrons describe as funky and fun decorations during the holiday season.
The holiday cocktail menu at The Late Late includes Red Ryder with rye, Red Bull with a plum twist and cinnamon, Oh Fudge with Hennessy VSOP, and green chartreuse. Other drinks include spiked hot chocolate and marshmallow meringue with peppermint candy.
