The Equinox Hotel in New York City is being built on Manhattan’s Hudson Yards on the upper west side. It will be among the first of many new hotels built and opened by Equinox, which until recently focused solely on gyms and fitness centers.
With its venture into the hospitality industry, Equinox will soon open the first-of-its-kind hotel that will revolve around fitness and wellness. The new Equinox Hotel, which is scheduled to open in Spring 2019, will offer state-of-the-art workout centers as well as nutritious dining experiences for guests who want to maintain their exercise and dietary regimens while traveling. It is predicted to be unique in its ability to incorporate wellness and exercising into the overall hotel guest experience.
The Andaz Palm Springs is being designed to offer the ultimate luxury spa experience for guests. Slated to open during the springtime of 2019, this new hotel and spa is the creation of designer Chapi Chapo, who hails from Toronto, Canada. It is being built along the city’s famed North Palm Canyon Road and will offer views of both Palm Springs and the nearby San Jacinto Mountains.
Some of the more notable amenities that guests can enjoy while they are there include the poolside bar, the outdoor lounge, and the first-floor retail space that will attract shops and brands from across the state and country.
Guests also will be encouraged to dine at the hotel’s on-site Argentinean restaurant, Amica. Amica will feature dishes from across South America but especially Argentinean fare like ceviche, grilled meats, and empanadas. It also will feature live musical performances every Saturday night.
The Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Hotel is set to open in the Fall of 2019. Once it is fully opened to the public, fans of the popular Star Wars movie series can immerse themselves in an interactive guest experience that is being designed to make them feel like they truly are in a galaxy far, far away.
In fact, the windows in the hotel’s rooms and suites do not overlook the local scenery but instead realistic stars and galaxies. Each floor of the hotel will feature 32 regular cabins as well as two first-class guest cabins. Other areas of the hotel including the dojo, the brig, and the engineering room, all of which play up the idea of being on a Star Wars spacecraft.
For guests’ security and convenience, the hotel includes practical items as well like on-site security, metal detectors, and an x-ray machine that scans luggage. Guests do not have to walk all the way to the nearby Star Wars Land theme park. Shuttles arrive regularly to the hotel’s front door to drive guests to their favorite rides and park exhibits.
The Hotel Chateau du Grand-Luce is scheduled to open in Spring 2019. It is located 55 minutes outside of Paris and housed in a restored 18th century chateau, which once served as the country home of an Enlightenment Age baron.

Now restored by the French government to its former glory, the chateau plays up its history while still appealing to modern travelers. It offers full views of the hotel’s gardens as well as the landscapes of Loire Valley.
The chateau also has all of its original hardwood flooring as well as fixtures like bespoke wallpaper and marble baths. The kitchen gardens just outside of the chateau will be utilized by the hotel’s chefs who will grow their own herbs, fruits, and vegetables to be used in guests’ meals. Guests also will have access to the hotel’s luxury spa, fitness center, and grand ballroom.
